United States Youth Soccer is in search of a Soccer Operations Program Assistant to help plan and execute national and regional soccer events across the country. This position has the following major responsibilities:1. Provides information, technical assistance and/or referrals in response to daily mail/email/telephone and fax inquires received from members clubs and leagues from across the country regarding a variety of soccer matters.2. Assist in preparations and organization of all national events and activities.3. Works on site as needed at selected national and regional events and activities to including but not limited to: US Youth Soccer National Championships Series, Presidents Cup, US Youth Soccer Workshop, and the Olympic Development Program.4. Represent US Youth Soccer with other organizations and at select meetings and conventions.5. Develops, seeks resources, and implements specials projects for US Youth Soccer.6. Under the supervision of the Director of Event Management & Operations, initiates new programs to serve members and advance soccer in the United States.7. Understand the bylaws, policies, and programs of US Youth Soccer to answer inquiries8. Serve as staff liaison to selected US Youth Soccer Committees as directed.9. Fulfill all other task as assigned to accomplish the goals of the association.This position will report to the Director of Event Management & Operations in the headquarters of US Youth Soccer in Frisco, Texas.
Extensive knowledge about soccer and the soccer community in the United States.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.
Experience working with volunteers, preferably in a non-profit enviornment.
An earned bachelor's degree in sports management or a relevant discipline.
Ability to lift 75 pounds at US Youth Soccer events.
Advanced knowledge about Microsoft Office and related computer applications.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with experience.
