Description of Position:•Under the supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Communications and Director of Multimedia Services this position will assist in the live and post production video efforts for the St. John’s University Television Network (SJU-TV), the Red Storm’s digital-to-digital and digital-to-broadcast live and on-demand video platform.•Primary responsibilities include oversight of the workflow for the production of approximately 250 on-demand online pieces, including but not limited to videoboard/marketing intros, online season and event previews, press conferences, feature stories, player profiles, highlight packages, season in review videos and short-form content for social media platforms.•In coordination with the Director of Multimedia, produce the Red Storm Report television show and ensure a timely delivery of the 10 episode weekly series to a regional/national broadcast partner.•Manage video archives and coordinate delivery of video footage to news outlets and sports networks upon request. •Assist with the management of live production for all on-campus in-arena video and provide support for external events as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Communications and Director of Multimedia Services.
Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, video production, Radio/TV/Film, communications or related field preferred. Relevant undergraduate experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletic communications required. Two to three years experience with digital video hardware (e.g. NewTek, Ross, Canon, Daktronics), software (e.g. Adobe, Avid), infrastructure and personnel necessary for live and on-demand H.D. sports production, transmission and archiving preferred. Must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience. Independent contractor, no benefits.
