Ottawa University (Ottawa, Kansas - NAIA) seeks candidates for a Full-Time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Coach. The assistant coach will be responsible for helping build the program including the recruitment of student-athletes to a liberal arts institution that places a high priority on academics and diversity. Additional responsibilities with this position will be assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Dean of Instruction which will include teaching, or administrative responsibilities as needs and strengths are identified.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred; a minimum of three years successful coaching experience is required. Qualified candidates must have experience and demonstrate an ability to coach both men and women successfully at the college level, as well as possess an understanding of and a commitment to academic and athletic excellence. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who have collegiate coaching experience and who have demonstrated exceptional recruiting abilities. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the NAIA Champions of Character program and the Code of Conduct and Ethics as required by the University.
