Western Illinois University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Compliance Graduate Assistant. This position will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in the management of compliance and administrative functions of the Western Illinois Athletics Department within the guidelines of the NCAA, the Summit League and Missouri Valley Football Conferences, and Western Illinois University. Primary responsibilities include:- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director with all aspects of the education, administrative oversight, and monitoring of coaches, staff, and student-athletes regarding NCAA rules.- Design, produce, and distribute all rules education initiatives to coaches, staff, student-athletes, and outside entities.- Monitor all recruiting and practice logs utilizing JumpForward and perform data entry to continue expansion of use within the software.- Assist in all aspects of the initial eligibility certification process for all prospective student-athletes.- Assist in the research of and completion of various interpretations, waivers, and infraction reports.- Assist in all aspects of the National Letter of Intent Program and administration of financial aid.- Other duties as assigned by athletic department staff
- Bachelor's Degree
- Full-time enrollment in a WIU graduate program
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in NCAA compliance
- Working knowledge of Compliance Assistant and JumpForward or similar compliance software
Graduate Assistant must be admitted and enrolled full-time in a graduate level, degree seeking program at Western Illinois University. This position requires 20 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.
