St. Joseph’s College New York – Brooklyn Campus, a NCAA Division III institution and part of the Skyline Conference is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Baseball Head Coach.Duties include, but are not limited to: recruitment of new student athletes, retention of current players, practice and game preparation, scheduling, budgeting, communicating effectively with team members, recruits and administration, emphasizing academic success and service to all team members, and compliance with all NCAA Division III, Skyline and institutional policies & procedures.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years experience playing and/or coaching at the collegiate level, strong interpersonal skills, understanding of technical and game tactics, proven ability to motivate and mentor collegiate student-athletes, ability to work various hours, including nights and weekends throughout the year for practice, games and recruiting. The chosen candidate will possess excellent written/oral communication, as well as demonstrate strong organizational skills. The candidate will have the responsibility to manage the team budget and put together a competitive schedule in line with that budget. Experience in fundraising a plus.
