Position Summary:The Head Coach of Mount Mary’s NCAA Division III softball program is an integral member of the Athletic Department and requires an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who is determined to see that the program’s roster and success goals are met. This individual must be committed to the Athletic Department pillars to “Recruit, Retain, and Develop”. The Head Coach works primarily with students, coaches, faculty, and other administrative offices to ensure that each Mount Mary University student receives a quality experience.Primary Responsibilities: Prepare and conduct all practice and game plansPrepare travel arrangements for team away gamesFollow budget guidelines set forth by Athletic DirectorResponsible for putting a schedule together that meets NCAA Division III requirementsAttend staff and /or institution meetings when requiredPromote and encourage a positive learning experience for student athleticsKnowledge of, and adherence to, NCAA Division III rules regarding recruiting, eligibility, and complianceHire, train, supervise and evaluate assistant coaching staffCoordinate recruiting efforts to meet discussed benchmarks to ensure the softball program is playing and practicing at, or above, the ideal number of student-athletes. Prepared to give monthly recruiting status reports to Athletic DirectorPerform additional duties as assigned.
