MSU invites applications for an internship opportunity with the Strength and Conditioning Department from August 1, 2017 through the first week of May 2018. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports and the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Duties include: assisting with the development and implementation of strength training programs for 14 teams; assisting with the creation and direction of sport-specific speed, quickness and agility workouts; assisting sport coaches with recruiting; assisting with the hiring and supervising of student interns; weight room supervision; weight room upkeep; equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Successful applicants should have prior strength and conditioning experience and a desire to continue in the field of strength and conditioning for enhanced sport performance. CPR/First Aid Certification required. Ideal candidates will currently hold or plan to pursue a certification from one of the following: SCCC or CSCS.
