Centre College invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Baseball Coach. Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, this position is involved in all aspects of running a highly-competitive baseball program, including but not limited to: identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development during practices and games, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and other duties as assigned. Additional secondary duty will be assigned by the Director of Athletics.
This position requires compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Centre College rules and regulations.
Ten-month, full-time position with competitive salary includes complete benefits package from the College.
Bachelor’s degree required. Previous collegiate experience is required. Previous coaching experience is preferred, as is a background in pitching. A commitment to the Division III philosophy; knowledge of NCAA and SAA rules; and a demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes are essential. Additional qualifications include communication skills that allow for the ability to teach, motivate, and counsel student-athletes effectively as well as being self-motivated, positive, energetic, eager to teach, and a willingness to travel.
