Humboldt State University, a NCAA Division II institution and member of the California Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA), invites applications for an academic year Assistant Women's Soccer Coach (.37 timebase) to begin in August. Reporting directly to the Head Women's Soccer Coach, the selected candidate will assist in the day-to-day administration of the women's soccer program. Duties will include the following: assist in the planning and preparation of training sessions and game day activities; coordination of team travel and budget; organization and use of database for recruitment, alumni and team information; fundraising; serve as the point of contact for alumni affairs; organization of award banquets and other team functions; game and training film editing; and assistance in other dimensions of the program as needed.

College or high school level coaching experience; knowledge of NCAA rules; experience recruiting student-athletes; experience with fundraising; and ability to assist with administrative duties including travel arrangements and budgeting.
A bachelor’s degree in appropriate field is preferred. Experience with California/West Coast recruiting and PR work including public speaking and working with booster organizations is also preferred. Goalkeeping experience is prefered.
Humboldt State University is an NCAA Division II program fielding 12 intercollegiate sports and is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association for all sports other than football and women’s rowing.
