The College of William & Mary is seeking an outstanding individual for the position of assistant coach, speed, strength and conditioning.
Preferred qualifications: Previous playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level; strong background in Olympic lifts & speed development.
This individual will assist in all phases of the speed, strength and conditioning program and will be responsible for design, implementation and supervision of programs for assigned sports. This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits. Salary is up to $31,200, commensurate with experience. Review will begin May 22, 2017 and the position will remain open until filled. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and work experience; C.S.C.S. certification from National Strength and Conditioning Association or SCCC certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association or Sports Performance Coach certification from U.S.A Weightlifting, within 6 months of employment. Current CPR certification or completed within 6 months of employment. Skills or competencies related to speed, strength and conditioning development of athletes. Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology. Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
