Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must demonstrate the ability to recruit, coach and improve (teach) talented student-athletes. Demonstrate the ability to market and promote Manhattan College women’s basketball program. Must exhibit leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student athletes and staff. Must be a team player, and have the ability to support and assist other employees. Develop a positive atmosphere for the program both internally and externally within the athletic department and College.
Description of Job Duties:
May include but not limited to: Assist in the management and recruitment of qualified student athletes, game and practice scheduling, budget and fundraising, day to day program administration as well as other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Assist in the support of student-athlete academic success, while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Ability to communicate in a positive manner with student athletes, staff parents, and alumni; strong organizational and planning abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills; a working knowledge of computer programs and systems. Have a valid driver license.
Bachelor’s degree, prefer a minimum of 2-5 years of women’s basketball coaching experience at the college level. General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, NCAA policies and compliance issues
