Huntingdon College a private liberal arts college of the United Methodist Church with 163 years of history located in Montgomery, Alabama, is accepting applications for the immediate hiring of a Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.
Responsibilities: The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for the overall administration of a competitive program, including the recruitment of student-athletes, the program’s direction, and the instruction and supervision of an assistant coach. Other primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instruction of game strategies; day-to-day operation of program; scheduling; planning and coordinating team travel; supervision of academic progress; recruitment of new athletes and management of roster; monitoring of student-athlete academic progress; community outreach; budget management including following purchasing and spending guidelines as set by the College and the athletic department. The position requires the ability to demonstrate lacrosse-related skills. Job often requires long hours for practice, recruitment and team travel. It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to conduct the women’s lacrosse program according to NCAA Division III, USA-South Conference, and College rules and regulations.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred. The successful candidate must be committed to the NCAA Division III philosophy and the role of athletics within a private, liberal arts college. The candidate must have successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level. The position is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits and reports to the Director of Athletics. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
