The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, an NCAA Division I Institution competing in the Southern Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. This position reports directly to the Head Softball coach and plays a significant role in the success of the Softball Program, providing knowledge of hitting, infield and outfield defense techniques, and recruiting at a national level.
Responsibilities include: • Working with infielders, outfielders and hitters; • Assisting in the planning, organizing, administering and supervising of all aspects of a highly competitive DI softball program; • Assisting with management of practice sessions and game preparation; and • Promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletic program
Bachelor’s degree required;
Knowledge of the game and rules for fast pitch softball required;
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required; and
Coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
