Head Men's Tennis Coach

The Head Men's Tennis Coach is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division I men's tennis program to include but not limited to: coaching (practice and in-game), recruiting, fund-raising, positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling, and hiring staff. The successful candidate must be fully committed to all NCAA, Southland Conference, and University of the Incarnate Word Athletics Department policies and procedures. Will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate must be fully committed to all NCAA, Southland Conference, and University of the Incarnate Word Athletics Department policies and procedures. Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, former players, faculty alumni and staff. Will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units. Must exhibit leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes. Must be a team player, and have the ability to support and assist other employees. Must be dependable and have strong customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
Required Work Experience
A minimum of three years of High School or University coaching experience required.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Must have a valid driver's license and must be insurable with UIW's insurance carrier.
Recruiting, Teaching and Coaching Skills
Coaching (practice and in-game), recruiting, fund-raising, positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling, and hiring staff. Other duties as assigned.
