The Athletics and Veteran Certification Coordinator for Financial Aid will be responsible for overseeing all activities of coordinating student athletic financial aid awards. The position will be also responsible for coordinating aid awards for students that are eligible to participate in the Virginia Military Survivors and Dependents Education Program. The person will serve as a liaison with Athletics, Veterans Affairs, SCHEV, and the Financial Aid Office
Knowledge of NCAA Bylaw 15 and Bylaw 20 (Financial Aid); Knowledge of Federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations; Strong organizational, analytical, planning, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience and significant experience working directly with federal, state, and /or institutional financial aid. Experience working with NCAA and federal financial aid issues in an office environment. Ability to work in a diverse environment
