Wittenberg is a NCAA Division III institution participating in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and offers a broad-based intercollegiate athletics program with 24 varsity teams - 12 for men and 12 for women - and numerous club and intramural opportunities. Annually, Wittenberg places among the top four in the North Coast Athletic Conference All-sports standings.
Wittenberg University is seeking applications for the position of Head Women's Water Polo and Assistant Swim Coach. The successful candidate will lead the women's water polo team and assist with the men's and women's swimming and diving teams. The position is responsible for managing all aspects of an NCAA Division III athletic program and will interact effectively and appropriately with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, administrators, peers, and community members. The Coach will evaluate prospects, maintain and ensure student-athlete academic integrity, demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Wittenberg University and Division III athletics, and comply with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate practice and game-day preparation and scheduling.
- Recruit & graduate student-athletes for water polo & swimming.
- Assist Men's and Women's Swim & Diving Coach with practice and meet preparation.
- Engage parents, alumni, and community members in water polo & swimming/diving events.
- Ensure fiscal management for the sport.
- Support Director of Aquatics with pool supervision, hiring, and training.
- Other duties as requested.
