| The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach. The Assistant Volleyball Coach reports to the Head Volleyball Coach. |
The Assistant Volleyball Coach will assist the Head Volleyball Coach with all aspects of the Volleyball program. The Assistant Volleyball Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by UTPB, the NCAA, Lone Star Conference and those set forth by The University of Texas System, and State of Texas.
Duties shall include: Demonstrate and teach advanced Volleyball skills; Mentor and advise students on personal health and academic matters; Assist with strength training and nutrition programs; Assist with team scheduling and travel arrangements; Promote and market the Volleyball team and athletic department; Assist with recruiting and evaluating new players; Assist with scouting opponents; Assist with fund-raising and community relations activities; Assist with summer activities; Assist with securing and completing required NCAA documentation; Drive a car, van, or bus as needed AND; Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Collegiate Volleyball experience as a player or coach is required. A valid driver’s license is required.
This is a full-time 12-month appointment. Salary will be $30,000.
Specific job requirements render the position as security sensitive, and thereby subject to Section 51.215 of the Texas Education Code requiring a Criminal Background Check.
