Responsible for all aspects of a Division I program, including recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, player development, facility rental/scheduling and game preparation. Use organizational and administrative skills to ensure a smoothly run program of player development and game preparation. Specific to scheduling- head coach will ensure compliance with NCAA Division I and Big Sky Conference membership. Responsible for budget preparation and management for all team travel, on- and off-campus recruiting, equipment and apparel purchasing, facility rental and necessary supplies for program success. Head coach will work with Athletics Communications to develop and maintain a communications program with the surrounding communities, businesses and the Lumberjack Athletic Association. Responsible for collaboration and strategic planning with Athletics Development staff to assist with program fundraising. Head coach will work with Athletics Student-Athlete Development staff to promote and monitor academic progress of student-athletes to ensure continuing eligibility, culminating in graduation. Head coach will work with Athletics Student-Athlete Development staff to endorse service projects by team members and ensure team participation in the student-athlete affairs programmatic events, including encouraging student-athletes to become student leaders in NAU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Head coach is responsible to manage and supervise staff while upholding Big Sky Conference and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Head coach will endorse high ethical standards for self, staff and student-athletes. Head coach is responsible to recruit academically fit and athletically qualified students to meet NAU admissions and Division I standards.
Two (2) years of successful collegiate coaching experience.
Five (5) years of successful coaching experience.
Previous NCAA Division I college coaching experience.
Experience with APR, academic success and student-athlete retention programs.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience.
