Reports to: Assistant Director of Student Involvement
The Rec Center Assistant provides great customer service to students, faculty, and staff members using the Evans Commons Rec Center. This position ensures that facilities are clean and safe for usage at all times with little supervision, helps enforce all Evans Commons Rec Center policies and procedures, performs area checks regularly for accurate participation data, assists in the supervision of summer camp and external rentals occurring in the Rec Center, as well as assist with professional staff duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain) required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.
- Provide positive customer service experience to guests.
- General knowledge of fitness equipment/facility management.
