James Madison University, a Division I FCS member of the NCAA and Colonial Athletic Association, is seeking an Assistant Football Coach to work within a highly competitive program. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.
The responsibilities of the Assistant Football Coach include but are not limited to: coaching, daily instructions with the team, recruiting, player development, equipment budget management, traveling, and compliance with NCAA, CAA and JMU regulations.
A bachelor's degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates with previous collegiate and/or professional coaching experience, previous collegiate playing experience and the ability to recruit high level student-athletes. Strong administrative and organizational skills are required. The ability to guide and support James Madison University student-athletes in their quest for excellence-academically, athletically and socially as they prepare for productive and meaningful lives is essential. In addition, the ability to establish a good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes, parents, administrators, faculty, staff and the community is required.
