| Through an integrated approach, the Strength and Conditioning Coach (Athletic Trainer II) will participate in the development of a comprehensive program for the training of student-athletes to maximize their potential for athletic performance and injury prevention. In conjunction with coaches and athletic trainers, organize and design strength, speed, agility, conditioning and flexibility programs for student-athletes; maintain safety, hygiene, and efficiency of the weight room; create and supervise schedules and team workouts; manage and supervise one full-time assistant coach and interns. Display a positive mental attitude, demonstrate enthusiasm, provide positive energy, communicate effectively and build rapport with students-athletes, coaches and staff. |
The incumbent will have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse socioeconomic, cultural, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student-athletes.
The incumbent shall know, recognize and comply with the laws, policies, rules and regulations governing University and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”) and the applicable Conference, as now constituted or as they may be amended during the Term of this agreement. Employee shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that all assistant coaches, and any other employees for whom Employee is administratively responsible, comply with aforesaid policies, rules and regulations.
