The Office of the University Registrar is seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to join our team in the Academic Records Department. Responsibility will be for programing and maintaining the Degree Audit system including coding of academic program requirements, responding to specific problems generated by users, participating in testing, analyzing processing issues, troubleshooting problems, and training/support of college and academic department staff. In addition, this position will be responsible for processing the student-athlete academic certification which includes accurately identifying and applying eligibility requirements to determine satisfactory academic progress and eligibility for competition each semester, while remaining compliant with University, Big Ten, and NCAA rules and regulations. Serves as liaison with the Athletic Department Compliance Student Services Office, the student-athlete advising Morgan Center, Faculty Athletic Representative, and academic colleges. The individual will be expected to gain an advanced knowledge and understanding of academic programs and athletic certification rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include assisting with academic records actions. Assist supervisor with the resolution of problems, research issues and make recommendations. Administer area policies and procedures, answer related questions from students, colleges, faculty, and alumni. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Attention to detail, exceptional problem solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
