The Department of Athletics at Keene State College has an immediate opening for a Head Cheerleading Coach. This is a part-time, nine-month, non-benefited position with evening and weekend hours required. The head coach is responsible for all team activities for the cheerleading program and requires an individual with knowledge and experience in teaching all facets of cheerleading including basic stunting and safety. The successful candidate must be committed to the academic and athletic development of all student athletes and adhere to all College, Little East Conference and NCAA policies and procedures. Salary range: $8-10/hr., commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation the head coach will serve as an athletic instructor for cheerleading, teach proper skills and skill development to student athletes, actively participate in all college activities that lead to student recruitment, retention and completion, maintain and inventory supplies and uniforms and place orders as needed, provide strong and affirmative leadership for all athletes, supervise assistant coach, coordinate team activities, such as practices, team workouts, community service visits, fundraising opportunities for the program, and other events, coordinate athletic performances including all choreography, music, travel arrangements and supplies, and other duties as assigned.
