The University of Missouri is seeking qualified candidates to fill five (5) Graduate Assistantship positions in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Reporting to the Mizzou Made athletics academic support staff, graduate assistants will work in all facets of student-athlete academic support services. Academic graduate assistant responsibilities will include mentoring student-athletes, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, assisting with coordinating/supervising study halls as a learning supervisor, assisting in on-campus recruiting, assisting in hiring and scheduling tutors, preparing academic reports and assessments, and other duties as assigned by the athletics academic staff. These graduate assistant positions will offer a tuition waiver and monthly stipend and have an expected start date of June 2, 2017. Bachelor's degree required in an appropriate discipline, a background in athletics and an intent to work in the field of student athletic support services, excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong self-starter, excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail. As working in the field of student-athletic services is not limited to a traditional work week, the successful candidate must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
