To develop, direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the assigned programs and activities within the Parks and Recreation Department; to coordinate assigned activities with other city departments, divisions and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation.
Supervision Received and Exercised
Receives administrative direction from the Director and Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation.
Exercises direct supervision over supervisory, professional, technical and clerical staff, including monitoring and formally evaluating employee performance, employee selection and discipline.
Four years of increasingly responsible recreation program experience including three years of supervisory and administrative responsibility.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in recreation administration, public administration, business administration or a related field.
Education requirement may not be substituted with additional work experience.
