Position Summary University of the Incarnate Word is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Defensive Line Special Teams Coach Football Coach. The Associate Defensive Line / Special Teams Coach will serve in all phases of a competitive football program in accordance with University of the Incarnate Word, Southland Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. The Defensive Line Coach will perform other duties as assigned. This is a full time, 12-month position.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Must exhibit good judgment in advising and counseling student athletes. Be able to identify and participate in resolution of departmental/institutional problems with continuous quality improvement as a goal. Enhance team effectiveness through dependability. Must follow the Mission of the University. Must possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
Required Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Required Work Experience A minimum of 5 years coaching experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree preferred; Minimum of 5 years collegiate coaching experience.
Work Hours Various hours including nights and weekends.
Description of Job Duty Recruitment of Division I student-athletes. Develop the talent of recruited student-athletes. Management, Fund Raising, Build and Sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, former players, faculty alumni and staff.
