Auburn University Athletics, a member of the Southeastern Conference, invites applications for one Marketing and Fan Experience graduate assistant position.
Opportunities and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: developing and implementing marketing and sales plans for assigned sports with a focus on increasing attendance and revenue, preparing all aspects of game-day production and promotions, designing and editing promotional materials, planning and organizing special events, developing and implementing marketing plans for all non-ticketed sports with a focus on increasing attendance and awareness, assist with database management and analytics and email marketing, and managing all day-to-day office responsibilities including communication with fans.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, sport management or related field. Candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to work nights and weekend hours. Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports, event management, and graphic design capabilities preferred. Acceptance into graduate school at Auburn University is required before candidate can officially be offered the position. Position requires a two-year commitment.
Applicants selected for the position must then apply for and be accepted into the Auburn University graduate school. Position includes graduate school tuition waiver and monthly stipend. To be on assistantship, a graduate student must:
be in a degree-seeking program
be registered for at least one course during each academic term of the assistantship
satisfy the minimum load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree
