Centre College invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Facilities and Operations Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Athletics Facilities and Operations, this position assists in the care, maintenance, renovation, and strategic development of all intercollegiate and recreational athletics facilities – with particular emphasis placed on outdoor athletics fields. As part of the Athletics Facilities and Operations team, involvement with planning, set-up, and breakdown, as well as assisting in the execution of specified athletic events is expected.
This position requires compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Centre College rules and regulations.
High school diploma required with a Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Educational background in facilities management and/or turf management a plus, as is previous experience within an intercollegiate facilities and operations setting. Valid drivers license required. The ability to become certified to spray herbicides in the state of Kentucky also required. Additional skills include the ability to organize, prioritize, and foster a cooperative environment; the ability to use tools associated with field maintenance and knowledge of irrigation systems preferred; knowledge and experience in the area of athletics facilities; and the desire to be a part of a fast-paced, team-oriented intercollegiate athletics department.
