Department: Academic Services Center, Tulane Athletics Reports to: Director, Academic Services Center for Student-Athletes (ASC) Position Status: 20?25 hours per week
The Tulane University Academic Services Center for Student-Athletes is seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistantship (GA) position to begin in the summer of 2017. The GA is responsible for post-collegiate initiatives for student- athletes, monitoring academic progress and achievements, as well as assisting the office staff with various projects. The GA will also serve as a resource for student-athletes to help manage their academic and career goals.

Programming Events 30%
General and Administrative 30%
The Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience that extends beyond the classroom in the following areas:
Academic counseling and college athletics
Working with different on-campus constituent groups
Academic planning and tutoring college courses
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Desire to work in college athletics
Undergraduate degree completion and/or graduate study, in an appropriate field
Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
Ability to establish effective working relationships and good communication skills
Available to work evenings and weekends

Additional Salary Information: A Graduate Assistants term is a minimum of 12 months (depending on academic program). Graduate Assistant will receive tuition/fees, books, commuter meal plan, and a monthly stipend. Candidates will need to be accepted to a graduate program within the university, as well as be enrolled for the fall, spring and summer terms in order to qualify for the stipend.
