| Under the joint direction of the Vice President, Institutional Advancement and the Director of Athletics, the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development is responsible for the management of all advancement activities for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The position will provide strategic oversight to the following advancement programs: Annual Fund, Major gifts, Leadership gifts, Alumni Relations, the Owl Club, and Annual and Premium Seating. The position will manage and direct the fundraising activities including: identifying, cultivating and soliciting the Owl Club, and assist in the development of publications that will communicate to prospective donors pertaining to the need to support Intercollegiate Athletics. The successful candidate serves as the lead advancement officer for the Athletic operation. Performs other duties as assigned. |
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum 10 years of related fundraising experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Must have an exceptional ability to interact on a one-on-one basis with donors and prospects at this level.
*Excellent written and verbal skills.
*Must be able to prioritize, set and accomplish objectives while handling a schedule which will include extensive out of office periods
*Responsible for hiring, motivating and evaluating athletic advancement staff
*Knowledge and compliance with rules, regulations, and policies of NCAA, Conference, and University, and proactive education/ follow-up to ensure that donors also know and comply with same rules, regulations and policies
*Experience at NCAA Division 1A level
