The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Assistant Director for Data Analytics and Financial Operations within the University's Athletics Development Team. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts, the incumbent will serve as the primary source of donor and prospect information for the Athletics Department and the athletics development team. Duties performed will include but are not limited to: - Conducting independent research from internal and third-party data sources to provide leads, insight, and value on prospective donors to Pitt Athletics - Collaborating and strategizing with athletics development officers to assist in portfolio analysis and prospect management from identification, assignment, qualification, strategy, cultivation and gift closure - Coordinating and co-managing athletic development prospect management and strategy meetings - Preparing detailed, concise briefings for the Director of Athletics, frontline athletics development officers and head coaches as it relates to donors and prospects attending special events, team trips and cultivation and/or solicitation visits - Tracking and reporting on gift acceptance for the athletics development team - Preparing and reporting athletics development officer productivity and prospect activity, as well as managing future pipeline, year-to-date fundraising progress, special project fundraising progress, and capital campaign progress. - Assisting Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts with conducting of annual portfolio review/cleansing sessions with frontline gift officers. - Collaborating with the Division of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement prospect research team to maximize opportunities for fundraising success - Collaborating with the Athletics business office and ticket office as it relates to data management and reporting - Serving as an internal expert and information conduit for frontline athletics development officers as it relates to updates and changes to the capital campaign and special project fundraising A qualified candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in a development or higher education role. They should also be able to provide evidence of their work as a self-starter, proactive employee and have a bias towards action.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a development or higher education role. Skilled in word processing, Excel, reporting, email and database software programs. Baccalaureate in sports management, business, or computer science is preferred. Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across diverse constituent groups and audiences. Experience in creating reports and using an advancement database (Advance, Millennium, Raiser's Edge, Sales Force, etc.) A desire to pursue a career in higher education development and/or athletics administration.
