Coe College is seeking qualified applicants for the full time position of Sports Information Director. This position will report to the Director of Athletics & Recreation. The candidate will oversee the day-to-day coverage of all 21 intercollegiate sports at Coe College. Primary responsibilities include updating and editing athletic department web site; managing the athletic department’s social media presence; writing and editing press releases and feature stories; creation and editing of athletic and selected college publications; compiling statistics and filing regular reports as required by the NCAA, and the American Rivers Conference; assistance with game day and press box operations; other tasks as assigned. Ability to work nights and weekends required and some travel to specified events will be expected as well.

Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in communications, journalism or related field.
Two years of professional experience – preferably in a college sports information office.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Familiarity with appropriate software (Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, StatCrew).
