Reporting directly to the Head Coach for the Men’s Tennis program with the primary responsibility to support both the Head Coach and the Assistant Coach in the administration of a competitive Division 1 Tennis Program that adheres to all University, American Athletic Conference and NCAA Rules and regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: provide coaching and administrative assistance to the Head and Assistant Coach. Assist with alumni and fund raising, monitor the training and assist in operational management pertaining to compliance and business office tasks.
Assist Coaching staff in development of a program that challenges student-athletes to succeed as a team and individually. Demonstrate a high character example and assist in character development and integrity growth of student-athletes. Must ensure that appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained. Support and assist in implementing the player development plan of the coaching staff and assist in on court coaching during competition. Assist in match strategy formulation and video analysis. Responsible for administrative functions include, but not limited to, monitoring the purchase of uniforms, equipment and supplies including accountability for expense control and administration of the sport’s budget. Assists in creating/enhancing over all team culture and strategic plan. Participates in public relations activities. Assists with planning and coordinating promotional and fund raising activities. Performs other related duties and/or projects as assigned by Head Coach
Bachelor's degree preferred, and one year of coaching experience at the high school level or above. Successful experience as a graduate student or intern is acceptable for up to one year of the required experience. Related coaching experience at the professional level can be substituted for the degree requirements. Two years of coaching experience at the college/university level or professional level preferred. Collegiate or professional playing experience a plus.
