Job Description: The Head Women's Softball Coach will have responsibilities within all aspects of softball program management including, but not limited to: practice and game preparation, recruiting, scheduling of team travel and meals, coordination of film review sessions, planning of team activities, scouting reports on opponents, driving 12-15 passenger van for away games, game day and practice facility set-up, academic monitoring, and fundraising and/or community service coordination. This individual will report directly to the Associate A.D. at SUNY Delhi. This is a part-time interim position for the 2018-19 academic year.
1 - 2 years of experience coaching softball at a competitive level (collegiate, club, or high school varsity)
Strong background in softball skill analysis and ability to demonstrate techniques
Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes
Experience in motivating players to achieve maximum levels of performance
Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and the public.
Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Valid Driver's License
Current CPR / First Aid certifications
Be committed to the philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at SUNY Delhi
Selected candidate must be reliable, dependable, and passionate about softball, and value attention to detail
Knowledge or experience with NCAA DIII rules and compliance
