Position Reports To: (Title) Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations
POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in the event management of all home athletic events, along with all other University and outside events held at the athletic facilities. Assist in the scheduling, supervision and administration of all athletic facilities.
Education, Experience and Training: Bachelors degree required with 1-2 years work experience in event and facility management with NCAA institution or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability: Computer software skills, problem solving, organization and time management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
Assist in the scheduling of all athletic venues
Assist in coordinating maintenance requests for all athletic venues
Oversee Indoor Millis Center swimming pool along with scheduling lifeguards and other various swimming functions.
Assist in the supervision of all athletic venues
Assist with special projects associated with athletic facilities
Coordinate and direct supervision of select home athletic contest event management.
Assist in the hiring, training and scheduling of student workers for event management functions
Coordinate select visiting team arrivals
Update visiting team guides and coordinate distribution to visiting teams
Assist in administering outside rentals of athletic venues
DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITY: Event management decisions along with student worker and game workers decisions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises an estimated 20-30 student workers for event management purposes.
