This is a part-time position and hours of work and days will be defined by supervisor. Evening and weekend work is required as job duties demand
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics, the individual is responsible for the successful operation, coordination, management, evaluation and supervision of all aspects of the NCAA Division III Lacrosse Program. This includes supervising all practices and contests, recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and conducting all activities within the rules and regulations of Ramapo College, the NCAA, NJAC, and other conferences.
DUTIES: •Primary responsibility is instructing / teaching our student-athletes how to perform sports specific skills in the sport of Lacrosse. •Supervise all practices and contests. •Identify and vigorously recruit for academically and athletically qualified student-athletes. •Conduct all activities within the rules and regulations established by Ramapo College, the NCAA, and other conferences. •Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes. •Supervise and coordinate with athletic office staff the timely submission of rosters, eligibility forms, practice schedules, athletes’ coaches’ evaluations, and end of season evaluations.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE: Successful collegiate or high school coaching experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate excellent leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as computer skills.
Must pass the NCAA Coaches exam with an 85%
First Aid / CPR / AED Certified
