Bryant University is seeking two assistant women’s lacrosse coaches to assist with recruiting, game planning, and all aspects of a Division 1 women’s lacrosse program in compliance with all NCAA,Northeast (NEC) Conference and institutional rules and regulations. The position reports to the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. This is a full time position, with excellent benefits. Salary is market based and will commensurate with experience.
Effectively assisting in coaching a competitive women’s lacrosse program in a manner which promotions sportsmanship among athletes, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, NEC and institutional rules and regulations
Effectively assist in recruiting qualified student athletes and effectively promoting Bryant University academic and athletic programs to potential students
Ensuring players associated with the women’s lacrosse program are eligible under NCAA and NEC regulations
Assisting the head coach in developing and implementing clinics, summer camps, and effectively monitoring student athlete academic progress, referring or counseling where appropriate, and motivating the student athlete
Establishing and maintaining good personal relationships with student athletes, parents, staff, guidance counselors, the community and the media
This position is best filled by an individual who has experience in the sport of women’s lacrosse. Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to identify and recruit outstanding student-athletes is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The ability to manage multiple tasks is essential. Knowledge of computer applications is important. A valid driver’s license is required for travel. This position has non-standard hours and requires the ability to travel with substantial time commitment. This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check and division of motor vehicles check.
