Reporting to the Director of Equipment Operations, the Equipment Manager provides excellent service to student-athletes, coaches, and institutional staff members. The Equipment Manager will provide assistance in managing all aspects of athletic equipment operations. Incumbent will oversee all equipment operations for assigned Olympic sports. Equipment Manager will also perform other duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversee equipment and locker room operations for assigned Varsity sports
•Coordinate with Head Coaches to provide essential needs
•Obtain and inventory athletic equipment deliveries and secure in equipment room
•Distribute, collect, launder, and maintain athletic equipment
•Maintain a professional, organized, clean, safe, and healthy environment in equipment rooms, laundry room, and locker rooms
•Build relationships with athletic equipment manufacturers and vendors to ensure quality product, service, and competitive pricing
•Serve as liaison with visiting teams, officials, and conference personnel on game-day to ensure needs are met
•Supervise Graduate Externs and Student Workers to ensure daily duties are complete
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience professional or collegiate level athletic equipment room setting. Must be an active member of the AEMA or able to be certified within a year. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
