Summary: The Creative Director will be the creative lead for the New Media team who will provide consistent direction, ideas, inspiration and regular feedback on content being generated by the group as well as regular interaction, input and coaching on how to improve content. This person will be the lead voice and leadership presence on new concepts, trends in the content space as well as being a multi-platform storyteller regularly contributing features generated for social, digital and all platforms. This person will work closely with University Athletics constituents to deliver high-level content consistent with the University brand.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for developing the creative direction and concepts for all in-venue, digital and social media initiatives produced for the University to project and advance the brand. - Creative Lead will collaborate closely with the team to provide ideas and concepts and to ensure all content is brand consistent and aligns with the overall strategic plan. - Collaborate with the University Athletic Association’s marketing and promotions department to develop in-game entertainment concepts, team related video content and maintain brand standards. - Work with applicable sales and marketing contacts to develop sponsor friendly in-game and social media content to support the sponsor and advance content monetization. - Act as lead Director of all production shoots with the University athletic teams. - Contribute to a positive, optimistic culture through teamwork, collaboration, effective communication and leadership. - Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Minimum 5 years of experience in original content production across multiple platforms including social, digital and traditional media. Proven, demonstrable experience taking a project from ideation through to a successful launch including conceptualization and storyboarding skills. Imagination and vision are key requirements.
Must have high level experience with the Adobe Creative suite of software particularly relating to video, motion graphics and stills.Creative flair, ability to communicate ideas in thoughtful, persuasive ways.
Experience in Art Direction, Graphic design and Ideation preferred.
Must be a gifted storyteller with the ability to make their story resonate and create a connection with the consumer.
Camera expertise with DSLR, RED Cinema, Sony FS-7, XDCam.
Instinct for continuous improvement in order to develop self and others to improve performance in current role and prepare for future roles; seeks and provides feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
Ability to travel, work nights and weekends as needed.
