Feature Content Specialist, On-Air Talent
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference member, is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Feature Content Specialist and On-Air Talent. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing digital content, which includes written, video and audio (podcast), for GoPSUsports.com and social media platforms for the enhancement and exposure of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, its 31 teams and 850 student-athletes; assist with content creation through written and video coverage of the football team (on and off the field), coordinating interviews with student-athletes and coaching staff members, and traveling to all football games. The successful candidate in this position will create feature content for GoPSUsports.com as well as selected Athletics' specialty publications. The successful candidate will supervise several students who provide feature content for GoPSUsports.com. This position requires considerable initiative, creativity and independence. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or broadcast journalism is preferred. Proficiency in recording and editing video, Premiere, Spark, and Photoshop is preferred. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills are a requirement. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services and Brand Management.
