Under the direct supervision of the Head Track & Cross Country Coach, this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the University’s varsity track and cross country program. The Assistant Coach will primarily provide coaching instruction to track and cross country athletes. The Assistant Coach will also serve as the recruiting coordinator for the men’s & women’s track & cross country programs and will be responsible for managing primarily the men’s recruiting efforts of the program. This position requires frequent interaction with the Head Coach, compliance office, academic coordinator and athletic trainers to ensure a successful recruiting program, ensure student-athlete welfare, and promote a successful and positive athletic experience for all track and cross-country student-athletes. This position works under general supervision.
Required Education and Experience
Approximately 1-2 years NCAA coaching experience as well as previous track or cross country running experience at the collegiate or professional level
