Under the direction of the Director of Educational Enrichment Services (EES), the Tutor Coordinator, serves a critical role in the academic development of the University’s student-athletes. As Tutor Coordinator duties include assigning all tutor appointments for all student-athletes, hire and provide training sessions for tutors each semester and conduct observations and evaluations for each tutor every semester. Additionally, the Tutor Coordinator is responsible for creating summary reports and gathering data related to the tutoring program.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of experience in athletic academic assistance (graduate assistants, internships, and hourly are applicable)
Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Background in education, psychology counseling, and/or related field
Experience working with GradesFirst Software
Experience working in an NCAA D1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) program
Tutoring experience on the collegiate level
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
