Responsibilities include coordination/execution of live event production, and coordination/execution of sport coverage for the athletic department website/social media. The position will, on occasion, need to work with outside vendors on events and streaming. The position assists the athletic department with execution of video requests and promotional activities, developing feature content for the website, and coordinates game day staff for video streaming of events. This position will also lead a small staff that helps in executing these responsibilities, and complete other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, television production, or broadcasting
One year of experience with setup/operation of streaming and live production of events
One year experience working in an NCAA D-I athletic department or a broadcast entity that has covered a D-I athletic department
Three years of experience in sports videography and video editing
Demonstrated proficiency with HD video recording equipment and non-linear video editing software
Strong writing, editorial and communication skills
Experience organizing and supervising student-level workers.
Leadership, time management, and organizational skills
Broad knowledge of sports
Master degree in a related field with the academic capacity to currently be enrolled in a relevant graduate program, or in the future
Experience operating a NewTek TriCaster for live event production and video board sponsorship integration.
Experience with SIDEARM Sports content management system for web publishing.
Graphic design and photo editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable software
