Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley Conference and Missouri Valley Football Conference. We are seeking an Assistant Coach (Strength and Conditioning). This position will aid the strength program in the planning and execution of training activities.
Responsibilities: Design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for teams as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, supervise and demonstrate associated exercises in a Weightlifting based training environment, coordinate with Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and Athletic Trainers regarding certain biomechanical assessments as well as implementation of the return to play protocols for athletes returning from injury.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; certification by the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, or USA Weightlifting; at least 1 academic year full or part time experience in a NCAA Division I strength & conditioning program working with both male and female athletes.
