South Dakota State University is seeking applications for a Director of Ticket Sales and Service. This position will be responsible for generating ticket sales revenue through season tickets, group tickets, single game tickets, and premium seating; implementing strategies to improve customer relations and will also assist with other revenue generating activities such as donations to the Jackrabbit Club.
Earned Bachelor’s degree by appointment date;
At least one year experience in ticket sales in a collegiate or professional setting;
Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills;
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
Ability to be a self-starter;
Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends.
Previous work experience in a sales environment, ticket office, university athletic department, or sports organization;
Experience at Division I level in athletic setting;
Knowledge of ticket operations and concepts of development, cultivation, and/or solicitation practices;
Knowledge of ticket software;
Knowledge of ticket allocation;
Proven history of working game days for a collegiate or professional sports organization;
Experience providing direction to others.
