The Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), a 15-member NCAA Division II Conference with operations based in Mansfield, Massachusetts, is accepting applications for the position of Director of Strategic Communications and Operations. As a primary communication officer, the Director will promote the NE10 brand through various forms of written, visual and social media communications and assist with operational aspects of a premier DII conference sponsoring 24 sports.
The Director will: •Assist with the development and execution of the Conference’s overall digital presence, including the further development of the NE10 Embrace campaign. •Assist in development and execution of social media presence. •Be responsible for social media and website design projects and initiatives. •Assist with the creation and design of social media graphics •Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) and update on a regular basis. •Assist with NE10 efforts to establish conference wide digital network and provide leadership and maintenance for the platform. •Serve as the primary communications contact for assigned sports to include preseason, regular season and postseason efforts. •Coordinate social media outlets through engagement initiatives to include assisting in the creation of a digital identity that is consistent with the Conference’s brand. •Design and create digital publications •Work closely with Athletics Communications staffs at member institutions to identify opportunities and create original projects in which video can be used to tell stories and positively promote the Northeast-10 brand. •Develop and maintain historical archives. •Ensure accuracy of information on league platforms, with an emphasis on quality and relevance. •Assist with the development of conference marketing and promotional plans, including the Initiation of targeted marketing of NE10 championship events •Coordinate all public address announcements for all championship events •Coordinate the NE10 Awards Program, including academic and athletic awards and gifts •Assist with the Conference’s 12 officiating bureaus, including in season evaluations, observations and technology-based communication efforts. •Assist with event operations at conference championships, including marketing, promotions, staffing, digital streaming, game operations and media relations •Assist with championships event planning and management and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience working within an athletic department or conference office at the collegiate level and a desire to work in college athletics administration is preferred. Outstanding communication, organizational, interpersonal and written skills. A demonstrated, comprehensive understanding of NCAA Division II. Knowledge of social media platforms, web and graphic design, expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, website content management tools, video editing software, online video streaming and Stat Crew software are required. Ability to work on deadline and manage multiple tasks required. The position will require travel as well as night and weekend work.

The NE10 sponsors 24 championship sports, 12 for men and 12 for women, the largest program in Division II.
