The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in recruiting student athletes; organizing and conducting practices; and performing other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Assistance and awareness of the academic success of student-athletes is a priority for all coaches.
Coaching and/or playing experience is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent coaching and playing experience at the college level may be considered.
Preference will be given to candidates familiar with NJCAA and Maryland JUCO guidelines and policies. CPR/First Aid and AED Certification strongly encouraged.

A member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, Harford Community College currently sponsors 13 varsity sports that compete at the Division I level. The intercollegiate athletic program provides the opportunity for eligible student-athletes to represent the institution in high-level competition, while enhancing their educational experience in areas of skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship. These teams compete in the NJCAA's Region 20 in addition to conference competition in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Association, commonly referred to as the MD JUCO Conference.
