The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services will be responsible for identifying and monitoring all compliance related issues to ensure NDNU maintains a culture of commitment to compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for overseeing all academic-related issues and administrative tasks within the athletics department. This position serves as the primary contact for cross campus communication with Financial Aid, FAR, Admissions, Registrar, Student Life, etc., and along with other Assistant ADs, serves as departmental representative for institutional, conference, and NCAA meetings/events that the AD is unable to attend.
1)Compliance •Oversee the determination of eligibility of all student-athletes. •Assist in the organization and filing of necessary NCAA paperwork. •Develop and maintain an electronic tracking system for all student-athletes. •Monitor progress towards a degree for all student-athletes. •Monitor full-time status for all student-athletes. •Have knowledge of NCAA Division II rule book. •Be able to report violations of athletic staff to NCAA. •Conduct regular rules education with staff. •Monitor countable athletically related activities. •Monitor official and unofficial visits to campus. •Monitor recruiting practices of coaches (phone logs, contacts and visits). •Provide rules interpretations for staff. •Serve as Chair of the Compliance Committee on campus. •Oversee certification of eligibility of all student-athletes.
Bachelors degree required.
