Mitchell College, and our championship winning NCAA Division III athletic program, is currently seeking a full-time Head Athletic Trainer reporting to the Director of Athletics. The Head Athletic Trainer will develop, coordinate, and administer a comprehensive sports medical program for Mitchell College intercollegiate sports teams. S/He will also perform professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation and development of the program.
This is an FLSA exempt level position and is paid bi-weekly, as a 100% full-time appointment (10/12), with regular College benefits. Required Education and Experience: • Master’s Degree in athletic training • NATABOC Certified • Connecticut Athletic Trainer License • Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid with instructor certification • National Academy of Sports Medicine or National Strength & Conditioning Association certification preferred – CSCS; NASM-PES • Current and valid driver’s license. • Individuals must have the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. • Work independently, as well as part of a team, in multi-tasking environment with strong sense of principles and ethics in regards to welfare of the student athlete.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb stairs, and assist injured athletes. Ability to lift, carry and/or drag approximately 50 pounds. Must be able to drive utility cart.
