ASSISTANT ATHLETIC INSTRUCTOR/TRACK AND FIELD (Throws)

The Athletics department is seeking a part-time position in which the coach will assist with all aspects of the NAIA Track & Field Program, including coaching of the throwing events, monitoring of student-athlete development and academic achievement, meet management for all home competitions, compliance with NAIA, Conference and Southern Oregon University rules & regulations, adherence to all Southern Oregon University and department policies & procedures as well as other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Additionally, the Assistant Coach must maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in the department, other college offices and appropriate members of the media, donors and other individuals interested in the sports program. Design, implement and monitor training programs and workouts for the throwing events. Participate in practice and provide instruction to the student-athletes from the basic fundamentals of technique to the advanced methodology of training theory and optimization of performance.
